The Schmidt Art Center’s 13th annual High School Student Show and Congressional Competition is now open, March 26 – April 9.
Over 140 works of art are featured by talented area high school students.

Join us tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 22nd, from 6 – 8 p.m., for the opening reception of our Annual High School Student Show.
Included in the exhibition are entries of Jerry Costello’s Congressional Art Competition.
An award ceremony for the Congressional Competition, and those eligible for SWIC awards, will be held at 7 p.m. the same evening.

Our spring semester of our Student Series kicked off in February. Students have been busy with their ongoing projects, creating an environment in a box based on the themes of death, water, & figure .
We’ve also had our first movie night, featuring Exit Through the Gift Shop, the Banksy documentary. It was quite a hit after students learned about the history of graffiti and street art.
